Preston gets to hold Breiden

BREIDEN IS HERE!! Ok, well he was here a couple weeks ago technically. We are so excited to have this beautiful new addition to our family. Breiden was born on February 22nd at 1:30 in the morning. We were scheduled to have him induced later that morning, but he didn't want to wait, and to be honest neither did Mom, although by the time it was all said and done I had been up for almost 24 hours straight, and was definitely exhausted! He weighed 7lb 14 ounces, and was 19 inches long, which was kinda a suprise for Mom & Dad, because we had an ultrasound on him a month earlier, and he was already 7 lbs. They say that babies gain 1/2 lb a week the last month, so I expected a nine pound baby, but was happy that he wasn't that big in the end. He's such a good baby, loves his sleep and loves to be cuddled-lucky for him, he has more than enough arms to hold him to go around!

How 'Bout an Update??

SO, one of my New Year's Resolutions is to keep this blog more up to date-at least posting something monthly. We had our blog printed last year and it was so fun to for the kids to go through the book...so I will be trying to keep this more updated this year...wish me luck!

As always, December and the end of the year are always a crazy, hectic time for us. 2 Birthdays and all the holidays usually leave us all pretty worn out. We had Meigen's Baptism this year as well, so it seems like we were celebrating something new every week! (More fun stuff from Meig's baptism coming as soon as I get the pics uploaded)

December always starts out with Preston's Birthday! I can't believe he's 4 already...such a fun guy to have in our house. We love ya Preston!

This year was Parker's first school Christmas Program as well! He did awesome! Meigen also had a dance recital and was in her first school play this month. She played an elf, playing santa....and danced the night away as a student at Hogwarts.

Christmas this year was all about rock stars and roller coasters! Not really, but those seemed to be the hit toys. Fun pictures about that as well. We also had so much fun with our secret santas! A thoughtful neighbor family decided to do the 12 days of Christmas for our family, and we LOVED going to the door each day with a fun new gift!It was also pretty fun for Mom and Dad to peek out the windows to try to catch our little elves!

And, of course, we always get to end December with Meigen's Birthday! I can't believe she's eight years old already! She's such an awesome example to her brothers, and such a rock for me....better than your typical rockstar any day! For her birthday we also took the fam down to temple square to see the lights. The kids always love to ride the train there, and we always have a great time!

Until Next Year!!......

Party with the Boys!

Parkers' B-day was earlier this month and it was his first birthday party! It's funny, coming up with activities for Meigen's birthday is super easy for me, but I had the hardest time trying to think of something a bunch of 5-year-old boys could do. Easy answer was...just send them to the park! So, that's what we did. We played some water balloon games and had a 3 legged race, but the best time they had was eating cake and shooting eachother with their water pistols. Funny thing is-when we celebrate his birthday 10 years from now...that will probably still be his favorite part about birthdays-except I'm sure they'll be using some high-tech water balloon launcher instead of dollar store water pistols. :)  We love you Parker-hope you had a great time!

Rocket Math Queen and the Dino Park

Hooray! Schools out for summer! Meigen had a great year this year. Her first year at Renaissance. She ended the year on high note with being voted the Rocket Math Queen and winning the Rocket Math award for reaching the highest level of any first grader in rocket math. This award is especially significant because at the beginning of the year a schoolmate was kinda teasing her for being in the lower level of rocket math. Of course, that didn't set well with Miss Meigen. As shes says "It made her mad". So, she worked really hard all year long and by the end of the year, she had beat out everyone else in the first grade! Just goes to show what a little determination will do. We are all really proud of her. WAY TO GO MEIGEN!!

For her year-end field trip, she got to go to the dinosaur park with Mom and her friends from school .They had a great time learining all about dinosaurs and posing for these silly pictures!

HAPPY SUMMER Y'ALL!

Hippity Hoppity, Easter's on it's Way....

HAPPY EASTER!!!

You would think with Easter being the end of April this year it would have been warm and beautiful....guess again! However, it was still lots of fun--lots of Candy, and Egg Hunts, and even our annual Easter Bunny Cake! This Easter I really felt so thankful for the resurrection and the atonement of our savior. It seems like I've been sick or in pain throughout most of this year, so it was a wonderful reminder to me that our Savior has born these pains and weaknesses as well, and I personally am so grateful to him for that because I know someday we will be with him again, and we will never feel sick or physical pain again. But, until then, we will enjoy our egg hunts, and bunny cakes!

Check out Meigen's Skirt her mama made for her! Yeah, pretty good if I say so myself.....

My cute boys in their matching shirts...it was freezing cold, but notice that Preston doesn't have his shoes on still...silly kid.

Harley & Woodie

A couple months ago, we acquired a new addition to the family....a fun-loving, good-lookin' boxer named Harley. Although he's almost as tall as I am when he jumps up, he's only a year old so he's still a puppy. He's as crazy as the boys are, but he's also very tolerant of them as well. We have, however, run into a little problem...Harely loves the boys' toys almost as much as they do-especially Preston's favorite little toy....Woody. Luckily, we've been able to save the toy so far, but if Harley ever gets ahold of that toy while we aren't around Woody will need more than Buzz Lightyear to save him!
